Microblading in Michigan

February 11, 2017

About 6 months ago, my eyelash clients started asking me if I do something called Microblading. I must admit, I hadn't heard of it, but was immediately intrigued. I started doing research and was amazed at what I found. Microblading was something I had been searching for for years, and didn't even know it! It's a way to have gorgeous eyebrows without having to put in the daily effort and  they do not be rub off when swimming or showering. I had tried eyebrow extensions which were natural looking, but didn't last long enough. I had tried all the brow pencils and gels out there on the market that promised amazing eyebrows, but I wasn't in love with any of them.  Upon seeing the results of Microblading it was love at first sight- I just had to learn it and get it done!

After further research, I found this amazing company called Phi Brows. They are internationally acclaimed and true pioneers in the revolutionary Microblading technique.  I enrolled in the training and it was intense and amazing. Upon completion of the program I feel confident and ready to perform this unique service!  I also wanted to answer some of the most asked questions I have received about microblading so here goes:

What exactly is Microblading?

Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, feather touch, and 3-d brows, is a form of semi-permanent makeup that uses manual hair-like strokes to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic pigment.

How is it different from eyebrow tattooing?

Microblading implants pigment into the basal membrane which devides the epidermis from the dermis layer of the skin to create fuller looking brows. Eyebrow tattoos are done with a motorized device whereas microblading is done using a hand held tool, also known as a pen.  The strokes in microblading are fine and crisp to mimic the look of actual hair.

How long does it last?

12-18 months

How has Microblading become so popular so quickly?

Trends change and since brows frame your face, the 80's style of full, thick brows are back. Microblading is the fastest growing brow treatment in the world. Women and even men who have never considered permanent makeup previously, are now getting microblading. The option to change your look and style every 12-18 months helps people to not be afraid of the commitment like that of a traditional tattoo.

Microblading is such an amazing service with amazing results and I'm so happy and excited I got the opportunity to learn it from Phi Brows Academy. Happy Microblading!
